Circular Add Ring 2026 - Public Light Art Installation
The 15th China (Wenzhou) International Garden Expo – Longwan Public Environmental Art Sub‑venue China Pose · Eye‑catching Splendor April 15 – July 25, 2026 Venue: China Pose · Huangshishan Sculpture Park & China Eye Valley Artist: ;C (Semicolon C) Work: Circular Add Ring 2026 In Circular Add Ring, the artist uses light as a medium to weave a labyrinth of replication and circulation. Each copy is a subtle deviation; each cycle gives birth to difference within repetition. Thus light, through self‑overprinting, creates fractals – precise, infinitely self‑similar geometric structures that unfold quietly across the bridge facade of Huangshishan Sculpture Park, like the secret codes of the natural universe. At night, light and shadow meet on the water. The flowing river is here sliced and interrupted, transformed into swirling ripples. Real ripples and reflected ripples gaze at each other; the fractal light, originally suspended in air, now sinks into the water, only to be shattered and reassembled by the waves into a new vista. The artist asks in Longwan: Can ripples be collected? Semicolon C has long focused on the relationships between data, nature, and perception. In Ripples and Ripples, real water waves are translated into digital imagery, granting transient natural phenomena another form of existence. How can technology help us re‑observe those subtle changes that are so easily overlooked? If memories also create ripples, which one would you most want to preserve? Special thanks to the UCCA Lab team, Shanghai Wang Jianghao Sculpture Art Studio, and the filming team Art‑Ba‑Ba. #SeeLongwanArtTour #WenzhouNewLandmark #FlowingArt #WenzhouGardenExpo #ContemporaryArt #UCCALab #WeekendGetaway #SemicolonC #NewMediaArt #LightInstallation #FishLife
