July–October 2024, Bao’an Waterfront Corridor Area H, Shenzhen Semicolon C created a spatial interactive narrative theater for the Bao’an Waterfront Corridor, enclosed by floor-based interactive projections and a giant circular screen. Amid the undulating waves of digitization, a new consciousness of human civilization gradually sprouts, embodying the continuous evolution of life. The connection between humans and all things tangles endlessly across the vast span of time, pursuing the perpetuation of matter and spirit through life’s boundless ripples. The work is divided into four chapters, woven together by sensibility and rationality. Oceans, flora and fauna, culture, and exploration converge into a poem. Inorganic substances in the sea coalesced to give birth to life, which spread across the continents, giving rise to a resounding song of culture. Rooted on Earth yet gazing out into the cosmos, humanity leaves the embrace of its mother planet — much like life itself was born from and left the ocean.
