Semicolon C ( ;C / 分号C ) is an art collective based in Shanghai, focusing on new media art, interactive installations, interaction design, creative coding, audio-visual art, generative visuals, and multimedia stage lighting installations. Since 2010, team members have been involved in new media–related stage performances, and have created, exhibited, and curated works in China, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, and beyond. Semicolon C is committed to breaking down the boundaries and exclusivity of digital art, transforming computer-generated language from cold, rational outputs into infinite variations of generative art, and creating one-of-a-kind encounters between generative visuals and human sensibility.
